iValley Ghana has successfully completed the initial five-week training phase of the Adwumawura Programme, delivered in partnership with the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) under the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment. As the designated implementing partner for Central Gonja in the Savannah Region, iValley facilitated hands-on sessions covering business development, innovation, leadership, communication skills, opportunity scanning, and financial literacy.
The Adwumawura Programme is a six-month entrepreneurship development initiative designed to take young Ghanaians from the earliest stages of idea development all the way through to real business growth. The first five weeks — now complete — focused on building the foundational knowledge, mindset, and skills that the remaining months will build on.
For many participants, this was their first structured exposure to entrepreneurship as a pathway. The programme opened with orientation sessions that set expectations, introduced the support structure, and gave beneficiaries a clear picture of what the coming months could offer.
“Our aim has always been to ensure that young people in Ghana are not only trained but truly empowered to build solutions that matter,” said Prince Nabil Mahama, Executive Director of iValley Ghana. “The enthusiasm we witnessed throughout the five weeks confirms that when young people are given the right support, they rise to the challenge.”

The first phase is complete, but the programme is far from over. The remaining months of the six-month cycle will move participants from concept refinement into business planning, market testing, and enterprise development.
At the end of the six months, every participant will have the opportunity to pitch their business idea before a grant selection committee convened by NEIP. Those who make a compelling case will receive funding to launch or grow their enterprise.
iValley Ghana will continue to provide mentorship and support as beneficiaries work toward that pitch — helping them sharpen their ideas, stress-test their plans, and walk into that room ready.
